Once upon a time, a very long time ago, before you were born, there lived a little rainbow called Ray.

 

Now, when rainbows are little, they are only black and white. No colours at all. But something special happens on their 7th birthday! Their mums and dads, uncles and aunts, grandmas and granddads all put a piece of gold in a pot and give it to the little rainbow to make all the different colours.

 

But little rainbows have to be very careful. They must only shine in showers of rain and run away when humans come near. Otherwise someone might steal their pot of gold.
